i got some seios

i just got 2x m820 seios and my monti cap that i need to attach is being blown in the wind, do i still need more floe? i have those 1 maxi 1200 and a mag 5 return on a 55g should i set up my mag 9.5 cl w/ scwd?

if you ask me you can never have enough flow.

when your SPS pull their polyps in because they are getting pounded to death you have to much flow otherwise it's all good.

I had alot more flow in my 55 than that...you need to play with the aim some...so that nothing is getting directly blasted. Like bouncing it off the glass, or off the surfase, or 2 PH's aimed at each other. What do you have creating random flow...sps like random more than they like alot...but both is best.

on my 55 I had a tunze 6000 on a controller and mag 9.5 and I wanted more flow...

on my 55 i have:

Tunze 6000 with controller(goes from 30% to 100% in five second intervals but sometimes i just let it blow full blast)

Seio 620

Mag 5 return

i had two MJ 1200 in there too but i pulled them as i dont like how they cheapen the look of the tank

STILL NOT ENOUGH FLOW

-I am adding either another tunze 6000, MJ mod, or tunze nano streams(like 6 of them and just sell the 6000 i have currently)

-i am also upgrading to a mag7, 9.5, or 12 depending on what my overflow and bulkhead can handle with SCWD

SO NO...GET MORE FLOW...I DONT THINK YOU CAN HAVE TOO MUCH FLOW

AND FLOW DOESNT CAUSE POLYPS TO CLOSE UP----ITS TIGHT, CONCENTRATED, DIRECT FLOW POUNDING INTO THEM THAT DOES THIS

I GET BETTER PE WHEN MY PH'S ARE GOING FULL TILT

if i were you i would mod a MJ and put it in the middle of the tank under the center brace and just let the puppy slam into the front glass

oh yeah....and if you get more flow which is better anyways you always have that extra flow in case you upgrade your tank to a larger one in the future...i know this will happen even though i know you just got this new 55

ok i have a mj that i have all except the perpeller to get it going, and ill set up the cl asap, but i really dont want the tank filled with power heads, but i think thats as far as im going with flow....i love the t-5s the best ive ever had. and i dont plan to set up a bidder tank till i have the money and my own house, and i plan on giving the tank to my dad for an in wall tank
