That is what I have left in my budget for this stage of the new tank. (Many more stages to come, obviously) It will be for my new 90g 4 ft tank. This will just be a start for the flow, more funds will be available soon. Don't really want to go with a closed loop for the time being. I will be running a mag 9.5 for my return. Suggestions? maxijet mods? Nano stream 6055s? 6000s? 6100s? I plan on a mixed reef, but heavy on the SPS is what I am going for. Thanks guys!

I have a 90 gal SPS Barebottom tank for flow i have a 6000 stream and two Seio 1100. My SPS love the higher Flow however in the future i plan on getting another Stream and Two nano Streams too replace the two Seio's

I'm thinking a 6000 on a single controller and a 6045 on the other. Whats the best price on these? Where to buy from???

I have one used single controller (7091) for sell ($40). I got all my Tunze streams from marinedepot.com. They offer free shipping on it. Tunze pumps are sometimes back-ordered but usually shipped within a week or two. You can get them from premiumaquatics too.

Consider the controller sold. Where are you located? I'm in the Almaden/Los Gatos area.

Talk to Matt (http://www.reefready.net). He might be able to give you discount. He is in SJ so you don't have to pay for shipping. I would go for 2x6000s and multicontroller.

I don't know you've seen the 6000 or not but it's quite big so be ready :) ...

I upgrade mine to multi-controller 7095. That's why I have a 7091 for sell. If you have more budget, I recommend 7095.

My office is in Santa Clara, we can meet somewhere in the middle between SC and LG during weekdays. I live in Union City. Maybe you could get better deal buying a kit.

Just let me know if you need 7091.

Waiting to hear back from Matt. I'll let you know. Thanks!

I bought the nano streams and the magnets for 6000 Stream from Matt. He is really busy but always willing to take sometime from his busy schedule to meet you.

If you plan to have your tank heavily stocked with SPS, I would wait for the nano streem 6055s to get in stock and get 3 and the 7095 controller. I have 2x6000 and they are bulky. Also I would love to have 3 points of flow, but having 3x6000 (which I did have) was way too much, not to mention ugly. The 7095 controller is awesome, don't deprive yourself.

That said, that is probably way over your budget. Well worth it if you don't want to have to upgrade later however.

I'm thinking a 6000 on a single controller and a 6045 on the other.

I think that would be a good combo. The 6000 would provide the pulsed flow, and the 6045 could provide additional surface agitation in addition to your return pumps or easily directed flow to any low flow areas of the the tank. You should also budget in a magnet mount either from Tunze or Algae Free for the 6000 since they provide a very clean and secure mount for the large Streams.

New plan. I think for this 1st round of purchases I will go with the following:
1x 6000
1x Multicontroller
1x big magnet

I figure this will leave me more options for my next round. i really think the multi controller is the way to go right now. Anyone else think thats a good plan? I will add another 6000 or 6055 in a month or two (my b-day present to myself).

Also, are all Euroreef plumbing parts the same size? mainly concerned with the output, as I am planing a DIY gatevalve mod. I can only find kits for the 1.5" pipe, so I imagine they are all the same. Am I correct?

Yes, that is a good start. If you haven't already, do check out the size of the 6000 in person to see if that bothers you at all.

55 Tall is a 3' tank, right? If it is, I'd recommend waiting for the 6045/55's. The 6000 is a pretty ugly pump, as others have mentioned =D.
