I have a quick cycling ?

i have had a 30 gallon tall reef set up for about 3 years now...Just recently finished my basment and set a 55 gallon in the wall...My ? is can i put the water from the 30 gallon into the 55 gallon and add 25 gallons of fresh salt water and not have it cycle?? thanks in advance

I just recently did the same thing. Took as much of the old water as I could, and put it in the new tank, along with the rock, and corals. I topped off the rest with freshly made saltwater.

I had no spike in any nutrients and the contents are thriving in their larger tank

I have done it also, went from a 29 to a 55....everything did great!

ditto. 75g to a 120g w/ 40g sump. Had 60g from the 75 and added 60g of fresh and had no spikes at all.

I did the same.. No probs. I would reccomend you vac the hell out of your substrate before stirring it up though as stirring the sandbed can cause a cycle in some tanks.
