I have a refigium now (DIY)

Krazy

In Memoriam
I did away with my refugium 2 months ago when I added the dual euro-reef skimmers, so I was left with a big sump and no fuge, I;ve been wanting and wanting a refugium since then , but with little to no room under the tank to work with due to the plumbing/skimmers/and auto top off unit there's no refugium on the market I could just buy and install, so after some blue printing, thinking, and chatting with my fellow reefer pal Winkey (Dan), we came up with an idea, I took some measurements and drew up what I thought would work, went to eddies and bought a 1inch bulkhead with strainer and a 3/4inch bulkhead, bought a clear rubbermaid tub that was close to my measurements, trimmed it down with the dremel to fit, dan came over and drilled the holes for the bulk-heads, we used some left over PVC I had laying around from hard-plumbing the tank the other week, I used an old powerhead 802 for the return pump and we assembled it all, the finished product is a DIY 4 gallon refuigum which is sweet
