hey back on topic geeezzzz

I decided I really wanted the skimmer sitting on top of the center brace of my fuge. I figured it would take up less floor space that way, so the first thing I had to do was raise the shelf to accomodate the height.

This is an old picture, but you can see where the shelf was.

As you can see, it is significantly higher now.

I have 4 skimmers. Only one is in use. Krunchy stole one of my skimmers. I only recently got it back.

This is what I was told to log into RC for? You gotta do better than that Speedo.

As mentioned earlier, I wanted to place the skimmer above the center brace, but I really want to avoid putting any weight on the center brace. With the help of RKC, we figured out a way to make a stand that would put all the pressure on the rim of the tank. This is what we (RKC did most of the work) came up with. here it is installed.

The bottom is ribbed to prevent warping.

Thanks again to RKC. I definitely owe him one. Only he would have an acrylic tank stand laying around to cut up and turn into a skimmer stand.

are you sure its not ribbed for pleasure?

Way to go with the obvious joke, Brian.

I had to cut the PVC that runs along the top of my fuge to allow the skimmer stand to sit on top of the tank rim. I replaced it with ABS to match the new stand.
