I want that really bright bright color that I see some of you have .

Details .......

60 g cube 2x2x2.. swc extreme cone ..2 tlf reactors- 1carbon-1gfo..6 bulb t5 lighting , vortec mp-20 .

Sps everywhere , zoa on the sand . I dose pickling lime (kalk) to top off and the one and done everything powder I forget who makes it but its the good stuff. What is everyone dosing that they feel has really made their colors pop ?

Thanks James

I'm starting to do the Vodka route,so far everrything seems ok,no real changes as of yet. It's only been a week however.Post a pic.

Any pictures of your system?

I have a full SPS system the only thing that I add to the tank is ALK/CA via dosing. What I think makes the SPS in my system pop is just stability and not what we add to them.

water quality and good blue lighting tends to give a good pop for all coral

Ditto from me . . .

Absolutely pristine clean AND stable water parameters. 35 ppt salinity, Ca 400-450, Alk 7 - 9 dKh, Mg 1300 - 1500. Dose iodine in some form. Pick corals that are colorful in other tanks. Intense lighting that surrounds all sides of the corals plus some form of blue spectrum lighting, either with a MH Radium bulb or loading up on actinic bulbs. Alternating water motion of considerable intensity, and most importantly, patience . . . of course you can always mimic a successful setup for faster results and then don't forget that smaller tanks can certainly accomplish such a result but getting the necessary light without over heating is always a consideration in other words bigger tanks have definite advantages.
