I have problems

Well the tag line is probably true in general  but specifically I have a problem figuring out how to generate more flow and "wavemaking" in the 180 sps reef I am putting together. I am considering a couple options:

1. a set of Tunze stream pumps, probably the TS24 package, with two 6100 pumps and the 7095 controller.

versus

2. A set of sea swirls, probably the 1" model, and I am probably looking to use between 3 and 4 of them.

versus

3. SEIO's, 3-4 of different sizes, likely 2 1500's, an 1100, and maybe an 820, with two of the new multicontrollers that are coming out for the SEIO's

I'd go with option #1.

Less power, easy to expand [multicontroller handles four] and IMO the Seio controller is a distant second in terms of what it does. [plus option #3 has a lot more cords in the tank].

I would love to do a combo of 1 and 2. I have a sea swirl sitting around and have thought about a way to add it to the tank with the tunze but without a canopy it looks ugly sitting up there. I am awaiting a second tunze I bought for the tank, but I may not give up entirerly on the combo idea. I think in a 180g the combo of a couple of tunzes and a sea swirl or two or three will give you awesome random flow.

1 and 2. #3 might be ok but the size of the seio is too small for a 180. I use 2 1500's on a 70 gal (3 ft long and I even have anthelia and other softies still) so on a 180 I wouldn't bother with anything smaller than the 2500, or is it 2600? whichever but the littler ones are too small for that length and volume of tank.
