I heard maroon clowns pack heat

Michael Vick would be proud..

I've got a pair of maroons in a 45 and the female will patrol the whole tank. It might work for a little while but, given the territorial nature of humu's and maroons, I'm pretty sure it would end badly.

Because I know the Picasso's and pinktails are one of the least aggressive of the trigger family.

I dont think anybody can honestly say or even think Picasso triggers are one of the least agressive of the family....Especially in the confines of a 50 gallon aquarium.

I would put neither trigger in that size aquarium as it is too small for either. The clowns would work by themselves though.

Comparing it to a queen or clown trigger i would think so. Or am i wrong?

Or comparing it to an undulated trigger a Picasso is darn right mellow. I have had all the triggers above and I wouldn't put a Pinktail in anything less than a hundred.

I wasn't taking a jab at you. I've always wanted a humu so I've read alot about them. While they seem to start out fairly peacefully, I've read a few stories about them just going nuts at the drop of a hat.

Not even as a juvenile?

Its all good. Ive seen them with other fishes and they look like they behave. That's why i was asking if a maroon clownfish would be good to keep with them. I know maroon clownfish are aggressive. And triggers are aggressive, but not like undulated or queens like Jason said. Last thing i would want is a constant fight to death. I know there is no actual way of telling for sure because every fish is different. That's why I decided to post before I act and find out because I've seen tanks with them mixed.
