i just paired my female maroon with a beutifull new male
to do this i used a specimin container and for the first day i put the new male i the container very close to the anemone. at the end of day two i swithced them because i was noticing them not paying as close of attention to eachother so i put the female in the container. when i put the male in the tank with the anemone he went into it very quickly as if putting the specimin container so close got him used to it before he ever touched it he was not in an anemone at the LFS.
on the third day i noticed the female seemed docile so i thought they should meet for the first time when i put them together shee immediatly wrestled him and he shook violently and refused eye contact with her the mouthed his pectoral fin and anal fin over and over but the amazing thing was she wasnt hurting him nor was he running there was a nice pile of rockwork for him to run in to he never left the anemone for too long ( all this is what the pictures in the link below are of)
that was all yesterday today they are much more friendly she charges him never bodyslamms him i am amazed at how well this worked out i have seen percs kill intended mates in 5 minutes this female of mine is mean too hates otherfish doesnt like cleaner shrimp and hides under the anemone all day but she really took to this lil male look at the pics and tell me what u all think i really want feedback on what to expect as far as behavior ive never had a maroon pair before
