I just wanted to know if anyone has had some problems with there second generation 60gb ipod. my ipod has a picture of a litle blue ipod with x's on its eyes when i start it up. does anyone know what it is and how to fix it. thx.

Before you jump to fix it ....check out the apple/ipod website and find out what that means. You might even try emailing or calling apple. It would suck if it is a warning, you ignore it and then later you lose all your music and pics.

Try holding the middle button and menu button until it resets and you see the apple logo. If that doesn't work, make a genius appointment for your store online, because they only go by appointment now, but it's also free to have them look at it.

if it's SOL, at least now they offer 10% recycling discount if you recycle your old ipod and buy a new one.

maybe I'm a mac specialist, and maybe I'm not. I don't think I'm allowed to divulge that information online.

I'm with reefwreak just reset it that's all. Hold the middle button for 5 sec and it will reset it self.

already tried reseting and still get the same shiz. im going to read the link that rogger sent me see if that will save my i pod.
