I bought a dobie pad at walgreens yesterday, i saw on tb blog that it's acrylic safe. So I cut out the sponge and went to town on the zero edge. It works great. I tried it on some coraline aglea but it took too long so I'll keep using the razor on coraline. But I give the dobie a +1

Both should have them, but I've heard that they have chemicals built into the sponge that helps it erase everything. I don't think they're too reef safe, maybe check into that before using one. I could be wrong though.

The magic eraser is totaly reef safe, I don't know if they make more than one kind but the original white ones that are sold in a 4 pack are safe, ladypig found out it worked.
I tried it and have used them about a year now.

I've used Dobie pads (with sponge) for a year plus on my acryllic. Works well. Still need the scrapper form some of the tougher coralline but the Dobie has made cleaning a lot easier.

hi, i bought a mr clean magic eraser and it works great, compared to the dobie pad it works as well or a bit better. the dobie is more abrasive but not scratching the acrylic or glass, and the eraser is better at polishing the glass and will take off most algea except the harder coraline. so i think using the dobie first then the eraser would be great on tougher jobs, but on medium to light algea the eraser works great by itself. I hope that makes sense, because i went to public school and im too lazy to proof read.
