My feather duster that I have had for years, dropped his "head" off. Will he grow a new one or is it a gonner?

Peppermint shrimp have a bad habit of messing with & eating feather dusters. He may be doing it at night, causing it stress. How are your water parameters? Are you specifically feeding the feather duster live phytoplankton?

no I am not specifically feeding him, and I never have. I did treat a large amount of aptasia that was surrounding him with Kalkwasser a while back.

He needs to eat...he could be declining because you are'nt feeding him. I am really liking the new Phycopure, you may want to try it.

No Copper banded butterflies, right? They eat them all up. I've never fed mine either, it just collects what it may. I slightly overfeed so my janitors and filter feeders stay healthy.

Carol, I have had bim a long time and I have never fed him and he has done very well.

Craig, No copperband, although I would give up the feather duster for one.

Aquaman, I agree marriage is a difficult task, but well worth it.
