yes it is...well done..sun polyps look fat...having problems with the anemone moving around????
Thanks everyone! Serious.. those are dendrophyllia polyps, that's why they are so big. No anemone in this tank. You must be looking at the frilly shrooms that host my clowns...many think it's a carpet. Anemones and sps=no-no for me any way.;) Hi Cam!:wavehand:

Wow..just noticed I could've cleaned that right glass pane better.:p Thank you all so much. I hope it continues to do as well as it grows in. This was my first tank, so it has been through many changes over the years. Alot of what was done as far as plumbing and lighting was afterthought. The tank itself is very scratched, it was bought used. It's all good, it has been a great learning experience for me, and when I'm ready to get a "real" tank, by then I'll know what I'm doing right?;)
Here are the specs: 75 gal AGA , it has an overflow box, a CS 5-2 Euro-reef{one of the best additions I made recently} a Blueline 1200 which is teed off to a 29 gal refugium and returns to the tank via a SCWD. There is also a closed loop on a Blueline 850..not ideal as the tank is'nt drilled..but it works, and eliminated the need for a bunch of powerheads that used to be in this tank. It draws from the white PVC you see on the right in the photos, and returns through a SCWD also..to two inputs at the back of the tank. There is one Maxi-jet, a modded 900 that comes on and goes off with the halides. Lighting is 2 X 250 Ushio 10 K MH's on Blueline E-ballasts and 4 X 110 URI VHO's on an Icecap 660. The fuge is lit by 2 X 65 wt Current 6500 K PC's. I am very aggressive with my tanks when there is a problem. I have been having a war with this red cotton candy algae in this tank for a couple years now. It was mostly in the fuge, but as time went on it worked it's way into the main tank. It attached to the main rocks recently, and started growing like crazy. It was really ticking me off. So I did a big water change and removed the rocks that were the worst...swished them around real good and scrubbed them. I got alot of detritus from them. I also added the foxface and he helped alot by cleaning up what I had missed. I am not one to let a tank in my living room turn into a toxic soup..which can happen quite easily if you let it. I have always had somewhat of a high bio-load, so for that reason I have to stay on top of it or it looks terrible. The tank has done a 180..it does'nt even look like the same tank it was a few weeks ago. It will be 4 years old in Feb 07'. Sorry for writing a book here...I'm done..LOL:D

Nice job! I was going to ask about your "carpet" too but they're those frilly ones eh? Hmmm I have a couple of those in my softie tank maybe I should move it over ... nah :)

Two questions. Are those modded maxijets you're using? If so how is the flow? Noise? (I've heard they're quite noisy) (that's 1 question :)).

What happened to the large pink/orange cap that was in the middle? I see it in some pictures but it's completely gone near the end.

Thanks Chris & sfsuphysics. Yes that is a modded 900, made by my friend Floridafishman.{Chris} It works awesome, I'm not sure of the output. He has tested it and knows. It is'nt noisy for me at all. I have only added it a couple months ago, for some additional flow. It comes on and goes off with the halides.
A small piece of the orange cap is still in the tank, it's just growing in the back on the right. When I get a bigger tank, I'll let it cut loose again. That thing grew so big it almost did'nt fit out of the top when I removed it! I had to put it in a 25 gal. round rubbermaid, as it was too big for a 5 gal bucket. I should have taken a pic of it out of the water. It was magnificent and hard as a rock. I took it to work and traded it for the rock amd sand to get my 65 going. The orange digitata grew so big it was sticking out of the water! I sold it to someone, and it was poking out of the top of a 5 gallon bucket! I gave the purple digis away before they did the same. I also brought the green one into work, that's where the one growing on the back glass came from. That stuff grows like wildfire in my tank!:eek2: :D
