That tank is awesome! I saw a video of one like that before on Melev's Reef site, and thought it would be cool to have one.

Now that I know how they are built, maybe I can come up with some drawings and find someone that will build it for me.

You would definately know if it wasn't perfectly level...

Theoretically you could do it with just about any aquarium. Just have a "pan" at the bottom and a bulkhead in the back draining into the sump.

Even if it was not completely level you could do it. Just add more flow, and get more flow over the edge. There are ways to hide all imperfections =P

that would be an insane amount of evaporation. The water would probably be cleaning a lot of dust out of the air too.
