I might start off hand dosing my 65, do you?

I simply have mixed 1 gal containers of alk, cal & Mg. I dose the Mg twice a week and just dump the dose in the sump. The calcium i use a 60ml syringe and give the tank 50ml in the morning split into 2 doses 30 mins apart and refill the syringe and then give it another 30ml after work and the last 30ml in the evening. The alk i fill a 1/2 gal plastic container with RO and add the 120ml alk dose to it and simply drip it in high flow in the sump over about 20 hours.
It's not exactly a time consuming affair and would amount to less than 5 minutes work a day to dose everything.

I hand dose a 120g and 200g+ system daily. I just pour it in a high flow area, but I've got drip dosers coming in the mail

Kent has aquadosers but I didn't think they were worth the money. I ordered medical feeding bags similar to IVs. Its only a test at this point, I can always diy my own "aquadoser"

Hand dosing takes diligence. With my frag tank, I tend to forget about it and missed a few doses. Needless to say my levels were not as stable as they should've been and I had a couple of SPS STN on me.
I finally just ended up buying a marine color dosing pump for the frag tank so I don't worry anymore.....except when I forget to refill my calcium ... like last night! I think I caught the bucket in time though as there was about an inch left in my 1 gallon container. I gotta check my calcium tonight though, but I think I caught it just in the nick of time as calcium was still in the peristalic calcium pump =) lol.

I dislike hand dosing very much and will be upgrading to dosing pumps today when I jerry rig some containers. One of the most tedious things about my tank.

I have my brs dosers hooked up to the reef keeper and dose through out the early morning while lights are still out for alk and Ca through out the day

i hand dose at the moment but it only takes a minute of my time. not too much of a hassle at all. the main reason is i have a small frag tank with A LOT of acro frags and im adding more all the time. the dosing requirements seem to increase frequently so its hard to get a doser dialed in.

I dosed 2-part by hand up until recently. I got two BRS dosers and it's so much better. I'm pretty much maxed out in my tank so my calcium and alk requirements are pretty stable and I don't have to fiddle much.

I bet diluting the alk and dripping it helps stabalize it alot

I like to drip it over almost the full 24 hours to keep things as stable as possible and the more to drip makes this a lot easier which is why i dilute the dose into 1/2 gal of RO. I just bought a plastic container and attached a needle valve to it with a JG tap after it so i had very precise control with the needle valve and once dialed in to the correct drip rate i didn't have to touch it again, i just use the JG on off tap when i take it out to fill it.
I'll prob get a dosing machine one day as they have advantages but it's only a small amount of extra time each day to manually dose so the machine isn't a priority for me just yet.

nice part about dosers is when vacation time comes around...
my tank can go for weeks on a 1 gallon fill up and its a lot easier to tell someone how to feed fish and dump a skimmer cup than how to dose alk and calc

I employ the use of a dosing pump to maintain a steady level of alk. However, I hand dose both calcium and mag. I like having just the one pump to maintain and calibrate.
