after performing a search i am more confused then ever. can anyone recommend a battery back up that will run 3 maxijets in case of a power outage. im a plug and play person and dont understand all the technical sine wave and technical info. what do i need to get. thanks for any help

That's actually a lot of power for a long time. You'll need UPS in the $600 category for that. Most UPS manufactures will have a selection tool on their website that will help you pick the right one.
Sorry I couldn't suggest one specifically, but my backup needs are much more modest....couple hours tops.
You might consider using a air pump for emergency aeration and water movement. They use less power.

how big is your tank? unless really large you really shouldn't need 3 mj's going. you really just a want a smaller powerhead to create surface agitation to keep up the O2 levels in the tank.
