i'm heading out on monday to buy a new light, the tank is 4 feet long and using my 2 old smaller compact florecent lights its just not working under the hood so well, plus the bulbs are old and so i figured i should just spend the extra money to get a proper fixture that does not try to fall in the dang tank!!!
i assume o-street is best, that is where i got my old lights and i know that at the time they were the lowest price around.
i am hoping to get a compact florecent fixture with the higest watts they come in and maybe even get one with moonlights
i have considered MH but they are rather expensive and i am already running a fan on the lights i have and so running a MH light would be even hotter and may not even fit in the hood.
so does any one know if any of the LFS is having a sale on lights?
PS. Ostreet has PE mysids shrimp right? i looked last time i was there but i saw none, my seahorses have been doing fineon bio pure mysid andbrine shrimp but i heard PE Is the best and now that i am feeding the Seahorses in a bigger tank and they are in with other fish i need to be sure they get the best. they seem to chase down the food very well and i have been spot feeding them with the turkey baster just to be sure
