I need a new tank

I am beginning my search for a tank that is 24"wide x 18"or24"x 18"H.

Is there such a size? If not is there a thread on making a tank from glass?

I dunno if it's up your alley, but I have a 29g:
30Lx12Dx18H - I have $45 in it, and you're welcome to it for same.

Got it off craigslist in about April/May - 'bout the time when Exotic was giving out the tanks - NickInMiami and I picked it up on the way to Exotic.

Has a top cover w/1 bulb fluoro fixture, and also came with a Penguin 180 (I think - it's a single wheel) power filter that I can include as well.

Thanx all I am really looking for a frag tank so I need it to be 24 x at least 18 preferable 24" x 12 or 18 High. I guess 24 H is ok too. Wow thats complicated. So here are the sizes I am thinking

L = 24" or 30"
W = 18" or 24"
H = 12" or 18" or 24"

I was hoping there was a thread on how to make one from glass. or someone local who makes tanks from glass.

With the sizes you are looking at I would just look at the standard tanks you can get at any pet store. Save yourself a ton of hassle and money compared to custom made.

20 long 30 x 12 x 12
30 breeder 30 x 18 x 12

I need at least 18 so the 20 long wont work. The 30 breeder is would be ok but who stocks it and can I drill it for an overflow and returns? Do you know if it has a center brace?

I don;t know about pricing, but Beverly's Pets on University and Pines has a TON of tanks in the back - even if it's just to look, with a tape measure, they have everything from 1-2g, to couple-hundred gallons.

At least you can take a peek at what's out there.

I have a 55g with pine stand:
30 inches long
18 inches front to back
24 3/4 inches high

I'll trade the tank and stand for some frags if you got 'em.

I wouldn't describe it as a column tank, more like a cube shape (although it obviously isn't a cube because the sides aer not equal). But, it is not the standard long 55g. I don't have a pic, but I'll get one for you.
