I need a Skimmer for a 12g nano that works

Current USA "Fission" Protein Skimmer - that one is garbage, releases so many micro bubbles... you can get a video on it from youtube.

i switched over to the coralife ss and its much better, but of course a lot more expensive... i would definatly get it over that fission one... really doesnt do the job...

Check out sapphire skimmers. They are available at nano tuners or the sapphire aquatics website. I have one for my 24G Nano and it works pretty well. The skimmate is not as dark as I thought it would come out, but it does work.

I have been doing alot of reading and decided to just do water changes every week instead of the skimmer idea. This way there is less in the tank and less maintainence I have to do. Thanks everyone for the ideas.

For $15 I was not to sure about it but my tank is much cleaner and the surface scum is no longer an issue.

My nano came with the surface skimmer. It does a great job.
