I Need A Stand!

Cool thanks.. I will check them out in couple weeks. HD cuts wood but I don't trust those guy. Actually I don't trust them for anything anymore.

A big piece of plywood and some small one :)

I can cut it too but it's a pain because I don't have a helper and it's hard to hold a 4'x8' 1/2" plywood steady to get a good cut :D ..

rommelgin,
If you want we can build our stands together man.

Elite,
i would be more than happy to help you build our stands together but with my current work schedule, i am only available on the weekends and sometimes i dont even get that. Thats why i would rather buy materials and have someone build it for me at the moment. Hopefully i can go back to working a normal 8 hour shift within the next month instead of this crappy 12!! :(

hehehe .. I do 12 hours shift too... 9 hours work 3 hours travel :D but I don't work on the weekend ..

I work in SF and live in SJ.. Sitting on the train for 2 plus hours. I have to drive to caltrain and walk to the office from caltrain. I walk 4 miles a day :D ..

there u go, that how we do it, we help each other.....

I like the sound of that...Sometime's we got caught up in this hobby and forget that there are many cool folks around here.

i agree with J, theres always someone else out there with more knowledge and more than willing to lend a hand. Too bad its not like that everwhere else in the world.

Mike, i will give you call sometime tonight after work. i want to check out couple lfs here in sanjo that said they have a stand so if that doesnt go thru i will let you know.

Don't hold the plywood. When the work (sheet of plywood in this instance) is too large or unwielding to handle, bring the tool to the work rather the work to the tool.

Festool is a high-end option. I'll exclude options like panel saws or Euro sliders....

Another, for the more DIY-crowd, is a shop-made guide for a portable circular saw.

Another is something made by Eureka Zone called the EZ Smart.

Yet another option is.... gasp..... a hand saw :-).

Tim

:) thanks for the tip Tim :)

Tyler,
Thanks for letting us know the store. That store is great. It has a lot more choices than HD. People work there are great too.

Elite, did you check out the store already?

Yup.. They have very nice collection. Way more than HD. If you buy today and tomorrow, no sale tax. That would help a lot. Oh their price is much more than HD but they have high quality stuff.
