Just some quick thoughts, nothing is absolute. When you have such narrow baffle spacing the water moves quickly through them and the bubbles don't have time to escape. Also depending on the total flow rate you are targeting, those same bubbles could skate right across the top of your DSB chamber and get to your return pump/display. It's also possible it isn't a problem. That leads to my next thought, I've never kept a DSB but wouldn't that design cause it to become stagnant?
