I am looking into making an aquarium for my office and would love to try my hand at seahorses.
So first off I was thinking about making a 12" x 12" x 16-18" tall tank. Is that large enough for any of the smaller horses??
I was thinking bare bottom with atrea and conith snails to keep everything tidy.
Next, skimming?? I would get a HOB skimmer if it would help maintain tank water quality better during the week.
Lighting I was thinking 2 x 39W PCs. Comments, opinions??
Fuges?? Are HOB fuges a benifit in this case. I would use ATO with some additives to keep Ca/Alk up and phyto for the corals.
Macro Algea of any sort a good idea. Stocking opinions would help a lot too. I was hoping to keep some frags in there with a kenya tree or pom pom xenia and some mushrooms or ricodia. Any ideas will be considered.
Anyway thanks for all the help, I really have little knowledge of this field of saltwater.

The tank you described (11g's)is to small for larger seahorses, and dwarfs aren't condusive to most office environments as they need daily hatching of live foods.
