I need Macro, willing to trade large striped legged hermit crabs.

I just finished helping set up a 125 gallon reef tank for my marine biology teacher at Evangel University. Today and tomorrow I will be setting up the sump and refugium, and we need whatever macro, critters, live sand or live rock that anyone wants to either donate or sell for cheap. We also have about 8 or 9 of the large striped legged Hermit crabs with whelk shells that we would be willing to trade for some of these items. If anyone would like to help please call my cell phone at 510-648-4295. The tank has been established for over a year, we moved it to Evangel about a month ago and it has been running without a sump. The water quality is great except for nitrates, hence the refugium. Anyways, it would be great if anyone wanted to help us out. Thanks again,

Jason

If you wait until the frag meet you might be able to get some macro, I know I asked for some earlier and Jon said he would bring me some. I don't want to volunteer Jon but I am saying if you ask people to bring some to the Frag meet you would be more likely to get some.

Dang, I just threw out a ball of chaeto....:(
John Stephens (LargeJohn) always has some. He's the chaeto king around here :).

Come to the frag swap, I have some blue-legged hermits there to get rid of.

oh man I would love to be at the frag swap but I will be on California on June 3rd. Is anyone interested in the striped legged Hermits, anything cool to trade for them? Also, we tried to set up the refugium today and we are having flow problems, the pump is pumping water into the tank faster than gravity can pull it out and our sump basically empties leaving the pump sucking air. I leave for California in the morning but my teacher will be working on it tomorow. If anyone has any ideas that would be great. Thanks. We are marine biologists not plumbers :)

I even be willing to trade a crab for a little baggy of your sand. We could use some bio-diversity in our refugium. Thanks again guys, I look forward to getting to know some of you.

I would be glad to bring you some macroalgae, but I am out of town until Friday (May 25). You can call me at 8*4*8-4*2*0*8 and I can bring it to your professor on Friday--I work downtown Springfield so Evangel isn't too far.

About your overflow/return pump situation. I think you probably need a vent. Do a search on Durso Standpipe and I think you will get the idea. Your only other option is to get a valve and throttle back your return pipe.
