Ok guys, go easy on me.....I need my stocking list blessed.

Tank: 48x18x24 90G
Sump: 30G
Corals: Will only be soft and LPS
Flow: Seio 1000 x 3, Return ~700 = 3,700gph
Lights: Photon32
Reef Rocks: 100 Lbs.
Sand: Reef Rocks Sand 100Lbs, mixed with 20Lbs crushed coral
Sand Bed: 2-3"


Help me narrow down the list. I know there are too many...I would like color and personality in the tank

Fish:

• Royal Gramma or Purple Pseudochromis - is one better than the other in terms of personality/life in the tank?
• Midas Blenny
• Lawnmower Blenny or Bicolor
• Orange Spot Diamond Goby
• Black Cap Jawfish
• Purple Firefish
• Ocellaris Clownfish
• Flame Hawkfish
• Possum Wrasse
• Radiant Wrasse
• Green Wrasse
• Flame Angel
• Yellow Tang - Tangs will only be in my tank as a juvies (less than 3-4")...my friend has a 240G for them later
• Blue Hippo Tang- Tangs will only be in my tank as a juvies (less than 3-4")...my friend has a 240G for them later

CUC:
Are there too many of too few of any? Any other suggestions?

I dont have one right now but I have had a couple before and one fish that I have always loved is the bicolour blenny, they arent the most colourful but their personality is amazing.

For the firefish I would change it to the helfichi instead of purple

As for the tangs, I understand you are going to take them out when they grow but instead of doing that, why dont you get a yellow eye kole or a tomini tang where you can keep them in your tank for their entire life.

I am no help with wrasses, but good luck with your tank

Sorry one other thing, why dont you get a pair of clowns instead of one, they are great partners for each other

I would recommend removing the yellow and hippo...it can be tough to rely on people to take a fish down the road...

I recently bought 6 tank bred perculas, put them in my qt, saw which two were pairing off and took the other 4 back
I then repeated with 6 Ocellaris and so far both my pairs have been great

Royal Gramma or Purple Pseudochromis - Royal Gramma over he psuedo. They're less aggressive.
Midas Blenny Pick a blenny. One per tank.
Lawnmower Blenny or Bicolor Pick a blenny. One per tank. I would choose Midas.

Possum Wrasse You will NEVER see this shy, tiny fish in a thank that big and boisterous.
Radiant Wrasse I don't belive this is reef safe? Is this a reef tank?
Green Wrasse I assume you mean a green coris? I personally wouldn't waste space in my tank on this bland looking fish when there are so many other prettier wrasses, but to each his own. I'd replace with a Melanarus wrasse.

Yellow Tang - Tangs will only be in my tank as a juvies (less than 3-4")...my friend has a 240G for them later You will get attached to a fish you raise from a baby and it will be sad to give it up. Why not get a fish that you can just keep yourself? If you NEED a tang, try a Kole, Tomini, or even a Mimic Eibli.

All fish in red will eat your shrimp.

Also, margarita snails suck. If they fall over on their backs they can't right themselves and they just die. Replace them with Banded Trochus snails and bump the turbos down to ten or add more as needed.

Only get one cucumber if any at all, and wait awhile because they ONLY eat stuff in the sand. If you put one in too early, it'll starve.

I think a tomini tang would be well suited for a 90 gallon, and also I would take the possum wrasse off the list. They tend to be very reclusive and in that size tank with much larger tank-mates you more than likely wouldn't see him often. As for the CUC you do have an excessive amount listed.

When pairing clowns they will always be aggressive until the female is determined. The female will grow large while the male stays smaller.

Way too much work. Ocellaris and percs will pair easily as long as you get at least one of them as juveniles, preferably both.

Tonga Conch 1-2 is fine.

The turbos will do a ton of cleaning. You don't want too many of them cause they will just dwindle down due to lack of food anyways. Cerith are smaller and will get into the nook and crevices for algae. The Nassarius snails are scavengers, unless you plan to leave tons of food around, you don't need many at all. In my 65 gallon I have x3. Conchs are to your preference. If you are just going for a CUC you can skip the risks with the sea cucumber. The cleaner shrimp only clean fish, if the fish allow them, not algae. Start with this, if they are being overwhelmed, add a few more CUC. For the most part, if you maintain good water parameters you don't need too many. Most the times I find you get huge packages and they just die down to match your tank needs. So the better you maintain tank your tank, acutally the higher the loss if you buy huge packages.

Thanks for the tip on the CUC. It's funny that some sites that have the packages include 100 critters for a tank my size. I guess it's good money for them.

Regarding the CUC, I'd stay away from margarita snails, as they are a temperate species that doesn't live long at tropical temps.

Also, I'd leave the turbos out unless you have a HA problem...they're big and clumsy and knock stuff over. If you can find the smaller, orange-shelled Caribbean turbos, they're really great.

I'd consider Astrea and Trochus as replacements. Also, if you can find some of the Nerite species that have tan shells with fine black carat-shaped markings, they're really great for film algae, but aren't as "intertidal" as the black and white species with the ribbed shells.

Thanks guys. CUC has been slimmed down to about 15 total. Also fine tuning the fish. I'll post once I have those down. I need to get them ordered so I can QT them...

I think you'd be wasting your money on shrimp if you're going to keep those species of wrasse.
