I need skimmer help

I recently got a used Auqa Medic Shorty 5000 and I can't get it to work.
It will not put bubbles into the skimmer. I checked the line and it is clear. The pump doesn't sound like it is at full power so I put my finger over the tube to make sure it was sucking air. When I did that the pump seemed to kick up to full power. Has anyone had this problem before or know how to fix it?:headwally:

Prob air in the pump - blow into it or suck air out of it -

my reef octopus hob1000 requires you to hold your finger over the airline until it kicks in - I'm assuming its removing the air from the pipe when you do that

Is there something that is supposed to regulate how much air is let it there?
I know my old one I had a screw to change the buble sizes.

Okay finally got it working but now water keeps quirting out of the vents on top. Any suggestions?

You should be able to adjust the pump. Do you had any pictures of it??

I adjusted the pump and now it is working like a champ.:dance:
