I need your help!

Okay, this might sound funny, but I need some help with Aiptasia! This thread is slightly different than what you might be used to, however. I NEED more aiptasia, a lot more. So, if you have rocks in your DT with Aiptasia that you can get out, I want them. If you have Aiptasia rocks in your sump, I want them. The more the better! I'm sure we can work some kind of arrangement out that works for both of us in the long run.

My cell number is 602.370.o0o6. You can call, text, or PM me here.

If I become overwhelmed with aiptasia, I'll post back on here, but for now I don't see that as an issue.

Do you have an aptasia free rock to trade? I have a rock with aptasia on it and i cant seem to get rid of them no matter what i do..

I will have some this Sunday. I will keep you posted.

I guess I need to know how many are interested in the same kind of trade, that way I have an idea of what I need and size.

OK since no one else is asking! :hmm5: I've got to know.... WHY do you want aptasis. Unless you testing a new product or breed bergs......

I will say this...possibly. But possibly will not happen if I run out of aiptasia.:uhoh3:

Check with Reef Culture. They have quite a few in their invert tanks and might be happy to just give you some.

:) I wasn't picking on them...I meant it, it's a good source. Now that you LOL it sounds bad but that's not how I meant it...now I feel bad. :(

They are also attempting to breed berghia but it's worth a shot asking.

For the future, you should try breeding the food source in a separate tank (otherwise they will eat it all!); PetCo is doing 1$/g right now, I would go grab a few 10 or 20g and add some "starter cultures" of aiptasia. Powerhead for each tank should be all you need. Since there is nothing else in the tank, the aiptasia will spread to the floors and glass where they are easily removed and added to your berghia breeding tank.

I've already been to RC, was my first thought. Thanks for the Petco tip. I was hoping they'd do another soon.

The aiptasia is spreading, however, I want to KNOW that I have plenty. It does have it's own tank.

I have found the best way to get Aiptasia to multiply is to try killing it....:)

Good luck with your venture, keep us posted!
