PS j not dosed nothing to 30 days

I don't think anyone really knows what causes this, there have been a few threads in the sps board about those. I think that Flyyyguy has posted some pics of this too, maybe look him up.

Ive seen something like that with a birdsnest colony whitch was the only coral in my tank have symtoms like that.
Asking around and the responses were mixed to what maybe be causing it.I agree with what someone else stated in that noone knows what causes it or how to prevent it.I posed the question in other sites outside RC and never found a definite answer even from chatting with some biologists.

Initially ,I got a bit of panic and was about to trash anything in my tank that even looked supect, but after chatting with some folks that have actually experienced this I decided to just let it be and have noticed nothing contagious or ailing from it.

If you do a search you'll find its shown in many message boards and seen in everything from acros, birdnests and many other sps, also pics of favias ,chalices and so on that have similarities of thoses bubble like apperances.

I had a stylophora that looked like this for a while. It eventually went away, and as soon as it did I began to grow rapidly. Never found out what it was, what caused it, or why it went away:

Thats an excellent pic ,looks just like what I experienced with a birdsnest whitch still resides in my tank and appears to only affect it asthetically for the past 6-7 months.Imo ,anyway.

Yeah I had a similar occurance with a birdsnest a few years back--some of the bubbles even had polyps growing on them. Kinda like a blob of tissue without a Ca skeleton. It happened from time to time and the colony looked none the worse for wear before, during or after.

IME, the "bubble" is expanding coral skin, which is generally a good sign because it means that the coral is in the midst of new growth. I get visible signs of this on certain SPS in my tank, especially the ORA Hawkins. Initially I was freaked out when I saw it, but then started to notice there was no damage to the coral and there was observable growth in that area of the coral within days of the bubble being present. I wouldn't worry about it. The pics above are not that of a coral that is being attacked by red bugs or AEFW.
