I never seen this before!

This morning i found my p.hepatus only has 'half' bofy, which i had no idea what or who attack this guy. I dont have any predator fish , my first suspect is the emerald crab that gone crazy in my 120gal tank. I felt bad for this guy but he still eating and even picking another fish :hmm3:

He is still alive today, 2nd day. Swimming and eating like normal,even chasing other fish like nothing happened with him. It just he swim looking down because no tail to keep him balance. I guess he got sucked into eductor and broken half , it was a freak accident ... His guts and everything still intact except for the tail, so maybe thats why he still able to 'eat and digest' so far. Here is more pict from today...

keep the water clean and he should be okay...seems nothing vital was lost or damage...

Yeah , could not really treat him because dont want to disturb him ..he is already in alot of stress for the past 2days. I called him the Lazarus now here is pict from today..

Wow, sometimes you see fish for sale with no tail. I've never seen or heard of one actually losing their tail in home aquarium. You have a one in a million fish, and I hope he makes it.
