my skimmer when out and shocked my tank. all fish are ok. clams look to be ok but the corals lps, sps, and softy's don't look to great. the sps have bleached most of there color. my question is. do the clams get shocked my the corals? and what should i look for/do from what i have already done to get things back in order? i've done a 20% water change, pulled the skimmer out and put a new pump on it. the water still looks cloudy and i'm hoping that the corals will color back up and pull through. some of the softy's are starting to come back . but the xeina's don't look to great. should i pull them out? or leave them to see if they come back?
and i'm not sure how long the tank was being shocked my the skimmer pump. i woke at 4am to a funny noise and that's how i found the skimmer. unplugged it. i had to go out of town for the day for work and came home and did my best. ( i had no idea that tank was being shocked my the pump till i got home and pulled the skimmer out of the sump)
