My guess is a shrimp. That is a picture of a Tiger Tail Pistol shrimp.

I'm uncertain of your question. Are you asking if people get them from an LFS or are you asking if people commonly get them at all?

Yes to the first. Not sure to the second, which means probably a no, but I can't really speak of its popularity for sure.
