I think my 6085 is too much flow...?

My 90 gallon just cycled with live rock etc. I have a tunze 6085 (non-controllable) power head a mag 24 return from the basement (12-13ft head). This is all that I have for circulation but it seemed pretty good. Tank is super clear etc.

Last Tuesday I purchased my first two fish. Two small tank raised percula's. During the first day or so, they played in each current and kind of hung around the back wall. The next few days they pretty much were glued to the back wall with an occasional tour around the tank....

So, about an hour ago, I unplugged my Tunze and after about 10 minutes they are simming about the tank like any clown I have seen?

I thought this was the correct purchase but maybe not. Does anyone have any advice? Is there a way to dial it back about a third or so or do I need to sell this thing and look for something different. When I had this tank set up 3 years ago, I had two Tunze on a controller that was better but it just wasnt' in the budget for now. Maybe I have to rethink this. I paid 182.99 for it.

I would consider the 6085 on the strong end for a 90, a 6065, or pair of 6055's or 6095's, controllable would have been the better choice. You could simply install the smaller 6065.700 propeller to cut down the flow. I also think the fish will adapt, being captive raised they have never had very high flow as they would have experienced in the wild. Bottom line is the 6085 is strong for this tank, but not so much so that I would consider this a critical problem.
