I think my fish has fin rot

My midas blenny is in a qt, and lately I have been busy, and havent got around to doing a water change. I noticed she got fin rot. her top dorsal fin was brown on the edges amd ragged, and one fin is effected. I am starting to do more and more water changes. I am not sure, but she seems to improve. She acts normal and eats well the whole time. Does this take a while to heal? Anything else I should do? I am probably sure its the water quality that caused it.

I would keep doing the WCs, and start soaking her food in a vitamin supplement like Selcon/Zoecon. You don't want to use antibiotics unless it gets really bad.

The UV properly set up should reduce the incidents of this type of infection.

Once established on the fish, UV is not as useful, however.

A tank is confined space if there is no UV to kill off nearly all waterborne pathoegnic bacterial.

I might skip the uv, and go with the vitamins, and water quality. I am not sure my fish is getting any worse, but also any better. She still has a normal healthy appetite. But I already had my fish on garlic xtreme, and now I got zoe. I couldnt find any zoecon or selcon. So I will porbably buy them both online. How often should I do WCs?
