I think my GSM may have ich.

Please help. Over the past few days I have noticed a few white spots on the sides of my GSM and I'm thinking it's ich. I have another GSM (which is showing no signs of ich) in the tank as well as a Peppermint Shrimp and Skunk Shrimp. What would be the best way to deal with this issue? I do not have an extra tank laying around, so what should I do to treat him. He is looking good and eating as usual, but I want to nip this thing in the bud as soon as I can.

Thanks for any advice you all may have!

The only way to do it without treating the whole tank is to do hyposalinity. Im not sure what the recommended salinity reading should be, maybe around 1.012 or something.

Hopefully someone else can add to this.

please dont do hypo in the display. it will kill all your inverts and the bacteria needed to keep your tank cycled.

all the inverts? You make it sound like this is a reef tank! It only has 2 shrimp so hopefully those can be given to the LFS for a while until salinity is pulled back up.

Hello all, thanks for the advice. I have gone and purchased a 10 gallon tank, heater, and powerhead and set up a hospital tank. My GSM is in there now and will remain for a few weeks.
