I think my long spine sea urchin is dying of old age

I have mixed feelings about this guy. He is a pain in the xxx and I am always Leary he is going to stick me. On the other hand I have had it for three or four years and is a neat creature and one of my first critters.

At least he didn't die from me eating it in Jamaica, while snorkeling, I saw hundreds, grab a few and ate them. Saw a whole ton of carpet anemones too, thought about smuggling one back..glad I didn't .

That's funny. I have had urchin but not that fresh. How was the diving ? I miss diving
