Well my 50 has been up and running for a month now with lr and ls from my old 120g mixed reef. there has not been any change in nitrates 0ppm and nitrites 0ppm. My flow is around 40x tank volume per hour and will be 55 when I add my chiller in a couple weeks. My lighting is provided by one 250w 14k MH with a spider reflecter placed 10 inches off the water. I do still need a skimmer upgrade and will have a tunze 9010 in 2 weeks. I already added a RTBA to the tank on one side (two "reefs" and sand seperating them) and he seems to be doing great. I also have a yellow tang and damsel from my old tank and a true perc hat came with the anemone. Cal is 400 and alk is 8.5 P.H is 8.3 Sal 1.025. My questions are these. Should I wait another couple months before getting my first sps? And will the RTBA kill them if it decides to move out of the spot it chose? I really like the RTBA, but keeping sps is what I really want to do. Any input would be welcome. Thanks.

You should wait a while before adding sps to that system. Sps are happier in a system that is stable... You just started this tank. Make your upgrades, let parameters stabilize a bit more (month or two) and then add. I would start with easier sps like digitatas , capricornis and birdsnest first. I think you will be more succesful that way...
