I think the Molting is killing my shrimp

I tihnk I'm losing my Mantis! I went to look at it this morning and He was in there laying on his side, still moving but with one ring of his carapace still attached around the thorax area. He seemed to be having a B%&$# of a time getting off. Do you guys think he'll make it?

Oh no Kentrob...

I've lost a crab while molting but luckily haven't had this problem with a mantis. I don't know for sure but would let it continue to try on it's own. I think that trying to help it might stress it out considerably. As a last resort though, I would try to help it if it becomes too tired to continue trying to release itself. However you do it watch out for those smashers or spears. Maybe the good Doc will chime in with some advice...

well, it just shed the last piece but it looks totally worn out. it's laying on it's side but still moving the things under it's tail to breath. I hope it pulls through.

Whelp I found my mantis dead this morning. That freakin sucks! I'm gonna have to get another one but I hope it has the personality this one had
