I want to build a 90 Gallon Tank. I'm New New.

Hi Everyone,

I am just getting into this hobby and I've been looking up on my youtube how to build aquariums tanks. It looks fun so far but I don't know what i would need to make a 90g tank. Like how thick would the glass/acrylic would need to be, what is better glass or acrylic, how long and tall it would have to be, I want a Sump system(I dont know what is this does but i saw it in youtube, looks great) in there as well. Please help ya'll any advice?

@pinnatus may be able to help, he has built tanks in the past if remember correctly.

Also, it may be cheaper to just buy a new 90 gallon rather than building one unless you’re after specific dimensions

I agree about cheaper (and less time consuming) to buy versus build.
