The tang is nice and big...not quite sure what specific type? I looked at a book while in a store....it looked similar to a Ocean Surgeon. The fish is my wife's favorite...so when it has to go...there will be a moment of silence (turn all pumps off).
I think you may be right it does look like Acanthurus bahianus! I knew it was some sort of Atlantic tang just from looking at it but bahianus makes a lot of since. Especially considering how big he is. For anyone wondering Acanthurus bahianus grows to a max size of 15 inches in an aquarium. Nice fish.
While I don't think you'll be dissappointed with the 30 (36?) corner, I would, if I had to do it again, go with the Oceanic 54g pre-drilled corner with canopy. In fact, if anyone wants to trade, lol!!
I have the 36g aga corner bow and it is a lovely tank, but not drilled, and thin glass so kinda scary to drill it. Also, the stand is designed in such a way to leave very little room for out-of-sight storage. Additionally I had to build a canopy for it.
I def don't want the 125, but I wanted to comment to give you a heads up on the system you are looking at (possibly?) I will say that I doubt I'll ever get another rectangular tank again. I love the corner bow!
