i wonder what this lil guy is... anyone have any ideas?

hi all!

im a noooobie! and ive just set up my first reef.. i recently added some questionable live rock from my lfs and found a few of these lil guys in my tank from the rock.

i couldnt get a picture of his top... but its the same color as its underneath, and slightly rounded.

any ideas what it is? is it dangerous?

at first i was going to say stomatella... but no....not with the frillyness around it... second thought was chiton as well.. does it have a hard shell? no shell? a fingernail like shell?

yes, it does seem that the shell is hard-ish. i suppose as you said.. fingernail like... its not like a turtle shell or something (very hard and thick) but it is certainly not like skin.. its tougher than that.

Is there space between the shell and the foot where it meets the glass? It could be a limpet if so.

I have exactly the same ''things'' as in your picture .
The only difference is that the ones I saw in my tank are more round .

Is it good or bad ?

You need to get more photos of it, I can't see the shell, it could be a stomatella, a chiton, or a limpet. Get more photos when you can! :hmm5: :idea:

Can you get them off the glass?
If not probably a chiton, if you can maybe a flatworm
