So after my 220 Mainland (old thread here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2274436) blew the supports on the top frame I decided to go with a custom built tank from Exotic Aquariums in Miami.
The new tank dimensions are 70x40x24. Yes it's very deep.
I wanted something that offered more room for both aquascaping as well as open sand. I also didn't like how tall the previous tank was.

Here are some photos of the breakdown of the old tank. I will post photos of the new one after it arrives tomorrow.

Tank was delivered today.
I have to say that Bob from Tropical Aquariums was great, total downpour and he also had to deal with and incredibly tight squeeze just getting it through the door!

Nice dude! Love the backyard too lol:D

Seriously though, when its up and running I'd love to see it in person, that is within 5% of my dream dimensions....

So we finally finished the plumbing and replacing the old return pump with the new Vectra.

The drains are near silent. It's a modified bean animal.
It is currently filled with fresh water for leak testing and everything looks good.
I need to clean up the cables and cords in the fish room but I hope to have salt water running next week and hopefully get some time to acid wash the 200 pounds of rock I have in the garage and start building my aquascape.

Well, it is going slowly but we got the main light unit in today.
Tomorrow I am working on the aquascaping and then in goes the sand and hopefully I will be filling it sometime next week! WOOHOO!
