IceCap 660-009 question

I have an icecap 660-009 with wiring harness and all in the basement. I was thinking of buying one or two of 4 foot T5s and some end caps to add to my tank. I am hoping this would give me more even coverage because of my unique aqua scape.

The question is can I run just one or two 4 foot T5 with this ballast? Will they be fried quick?

Read the overview section I've run two VHO's just fine on the 660 and 430. Just can't dim with T5's.

It sound like it would be fine but I'm almost tempted to just add one T5 up front and nothing in the back because I just don't have the space to add two toward the front. I only have 4.5" before the Radions. Having one in the back would add light but I don't think it's necessary.

IceCap 660-009 question

So I got a retrofit kit and just finished mounting the light. Got a blue plus and a coral plus bulb. Mounted them in front of the Radions in the canopy. Flipped them on and miraculously everything works on the 1st try!

My Radions run like this: ramp up 1-2pm. 2p-8p 58%. 8p-10p ramp down.

Now the question is how and when to run them? I was thinking I'll start to them from 5-6p for a week. Then make it 4p-6p the next week. Then increase to 3p-6p a week later. Then in another week 2p-6p. If needed in week 5 I can expand that another hour. Is that approach too cautious? Is 4 hours per day enough?
