IceCap 660

Ok I checked my wiring harness and everything seems good. But for some reason the fuse inside the Icecap 660 keeps blowing instantly when power on. I checked the website and I am using the correct the fuse. 7-Amp 250 Volt Slow-Blow Fuse.

Really would like to get these VHO's figured out. So I'm wondering if maybe someone local is running this ballast that I can just maybe test it in their system to verfify if this is any good before buying a new one or sending this out for repair. Unless there is another way to test this? I only have one ballast.

Ditto what Dave said. I had the identical problem on a Ice Cap 440. I sent it in and they turned it around very quickly. Ice Cap's customer service and repair is unsurpassed.

So it is quite possible the ballast and not my wiring job. Ok then I'll send it in and see what they say.

Received my Ballast back today from IceCap. Popped it in and good to go. The Solar 1000 controller works great, the VHO's pop nice Actinic blues.

So problem solved. IceCap has great customer service, even though I wasn't the original purchaser.


So you know what that means...... I'm getting closer
