IceCap Inc rocks!!

I bought a used 660 ballast for my VHOs a couple of months ago. The connecter looked a bit discolored like it had been incorrectly wired by the previous user. I wired it properly and found that it seemed to work fine. A couple of weeks ago I came downstairs to see my tank and the whole basement was pitch black. The connector was smoked and the unit wreaked of smoke and of course the breaker was tripped. I figured that I was screwed. I sent the ballast back(last Thursday- snail mail) to IceCap to be refurbished(expecting $65+ charges) and I got it back yesterday and it was completely refurbished. The ballast works great now and the best part of the whole experience is they charged me $0.00..........Great product, great service...

For those who may not know or recall, Ice Cap was the biggest donor to the Zoo reef project. With no hesitation, they donated the entire t-5 lighting system including two ballasts, standoffs, encaps, reflectors, harnesses. They also provided two digital timers and one Vortech pump and they sold us the other at a reduced cost. In my personal dealings, I have had nothing but excellent experienced with their technical and customer support services. So yeah, two big thumbs up for a great company!!

I have also had great service from ICECAP. My 440 was failing and I e-mail them. Sent part and fixed at no cost. I also had some issue's with my SLR's. They replaced them free of charge. I would have no problem purchasing any ICECAP product and I always recommend their products.

I'll chime in w/ more kudos for IceCap.

I was grousing on the IceCap forum about the $15 dollar + shipping price tag for an extra cord for the Vortech battery backup. Dave from IC PM'ed me after seeing it was for the school tank, and sent me one free of charge.
