Icecap660 question

I'm looking to purchase an icecap 660. Are they good ballasts and are they something I should buy new? I've seen some used for sale but not sure if it's worth the extra money to buy new. Just seeking a little input and thanks.

Icecap are great ballasts and top notch service when you need it. I believe the warranty is 3 years. If you choose to get used and it winds up having issues Icecap will service it to like new condition for about $50 unless it has been damaged by water. There are some good used deals out there. Also watch for sales on new ones sometimes about $120. HTH

ARO's for VHO and T5 usage are a very close 2nd. I use both icecap and aro's and either one is a safe bet and you can find good values in used ones. Just keep at the drygoods selling forum and local.
