I am running at about 78-80 degrees, and its not even summer yet here in FL. I found this iceprobe specifically for nano units, does anyone have experience with it? Is it worth getting?

I have one and let me say Im not exactly impressed
it brought my temp down like 4deg but my tank was still running at 82-84deg
my room gets hot anyways
it doesnt seem to bring the temp down much from 80deg
placement or iceprobe seems to be crucial if u want to bring the temp down more

a guy over here i think plumbed one into the top of an Aquaclear filter.
dont think it pulled the temp down much though, like 1 degree i think.

have you added any upgraded pumps or anything that may be a somewhat high wattage? Sometimes those can heat up the water. I know that when i switched out my return pump, i got one that was like 20 watts less and it lowered the tank temp about 2-3 degrees.

What size nano do you have?I have a 6 gallon and was having problems with the temp and found that if you remove the plastic cover that houses the lighting and fans that it will drop your temp pretty good. It brought mine from 85.5 down to 79.5 .I'm going to cut the plastic cover so it still covers everything but the fans and then I'm going to try fliping one of the fans over so there is a push pull effect to see if that brings it down any more.
