Ok this is getting annoying i went fishes did all that the first time but ICH still got my fish again :uzi: 2 died one seems fine the other a baby fox face seems to get it bad then look better if you have any advise i need it i really want to save this guy

btw i did take a few steps to fix it turned temp. up a little lowered salinity added a cleaner shrimp and put in kick ICH

Sounds like you've done all you can outside of a QT tank. But even then in this situation I don't know if I'd recommend one because the stress from the transition might cause more harm then good. Good job on the cleaner shrimp though. That should help a good deal.

None of those things will get rid of ich.

The fish need to go through tank transfer Method (TTM), copper or hyposalinity in QT. Also, the Display tank needs to be fishless for at least 72 days to get rid of ich in the DT.

I dunno. I've had semi-decent luck with Kick ICH. Some people think it's on the basically water side of the spectrum, but I've had it work probably 80% of the time. I think most people just gave up and started wanting to eradicate it out of sand beds and just about every other surface, because it is one of the most resilient parasites on the planet. But IMO a total breakdown isn't really necessary if the correct steps are taken. Those are steps to hit right away. Steps to introduce things that will continually work at it. And 3rd, things that will continually work to keep it away. That's just what I've had luck with though.

Would you guys recommend cleaning the tank with a water change and the first time i went 90 days no fish and my fish are getting it again anyway it survived or did it get back in on one of the fish

You gotta treat the fish in a seperate tank using the methods suggested. While doing that, leave the main tank empty for 90days. Afterwards, monitor the fish in the quarantine tank for 2 more weeks for any visible spots before placing back in main tank.

Do not raise temperature with salt water ich as it decreases dissolved oxygen in the water and has no effect on cryptocaryon irritans. Kick ich is snake oil, cleaner shrimp do not eat ich. Develop a good quarantine protocol. Ich is the least problematic parasite.

Soubds like you brought it back in on a new fish. Once you get rid of it in the tank you need to keep it out when you replace the fish. Water change etc won't help much, you only need a few baby ichs to infect the whole tank. Like if your kid has lice you need to wash all the sheets, and also keep him from bringing new eggs home from school.

thanks now my head itches:lolspin:

OP it sounds like you originally bought some fish did not QT then got ich. Then left the DT fallow for 90 days got some more fish and put them into the DT without QT, got ich again. If this is the case then the only way to prevent ich from getting back into the DT is to proactively treat new fish for ich prior to entering the DT.
