Ich and fallow period

I am undergoing fallow in my 150 gallon tank. I have seen various number of days posted for the fallow period. What is the most current thinking?

I'm doing the same. This thread discusses it in detail. 9 weeks seems to be the number, if you want to be completely certain.

6 weeks for velvet. 90 days for ich

Snorvich says,

"For the highest surety for cryptocaryon irritans, you want to leave a tank fallow for 72 days. Twice the average life cycle would be six weeks and that should give you about a 95% surety. For velvet, six weeks fallow will give you about a 99% surety."

These days, 72 days would be the minimum. That's just over 10 weeks. I'd round it up to 11 weeks and call it good.
