ICH (bin ein)?

The purple fish has had these white marks on the middle of his body and back tail fin for about 1-2 weeks.

I couldn't get any better pictures so I had to link them due to huge file size.

It shows the fish up close and personal.

Even though the clowns show no white spots....could they have it too?

If this is ICH.....aside from QT the purple fish.....what do I do with the tank and the two clowns? Keeping in mind I got 3 coral frags and copper is out of the question.

thank you

It's extremely hard to tell from that pic quality & size...but if it's ICH, then you will have to remove all fish into a QT and let your reef system run without any fish hosts until ICH has run its course.

Ok I'm a little frustrated here.

I spent 15 minutes yesterday attempting to take the best quality pics that I could.

I saw another thread on here with some guy's tang. It looked like someone had sprinkled a salt shaker over it and the general consensus was "it's ich".

So....

What could those one or two white spots on my fish be?

When should I be concerned?

The clowns look just fine.

thank you

If the white spots have been in the same place for over a week, it's unlikely to be ich. Could be lymphocystis, for which case good water quality and nutrition is the cure. I would keep an eye on everyone to make sure they aren't scratching against the rocks or acting abnormally (breathing rapidly, not eating etc.) Hopefully it's just lymphocystis and it will go away without incident.

Thanks for your input everyone.

The fish are eating like a race horse, including the purple one.

Will just continue to monitor him.

He is rubbing against the rocks.....but he likes to get into small places.
