Can you tell me when hypo is effective on ich (stage)?

Only in the free-swimming stage. IMO & IME, strains of ich are becoming tolerant of hypo at any level and hypo is no longer a viable treatment. This forum section has seen an increasing number of hypo failure in the years I've been active here.

Only the latter (theront stage). Encystment has already begun when they leave the fish (protomont stage).
