Ich ich

Copper treatment should continue 3-4 weeks AFTER you see that the ich has gone. Trust me, I have almost given up on this hobby more than once, but once you get the tank going, it will practically run itself and is so amazing to watch! Hope this helps.

Update!!
One clown lives has been In Quarantine for for Little over 1 week. Also received 3 replacement clowns from my supplier....also purchased a new tank

why are you buying multiple clowns (only two will survive long term)? are you quarantining all new fish?
why do you think this is ich?

I have one clown got three that make four. my DS had Ich I brought one of my fish into a supplier to confirm. I have it under control now. All new fish are NOW being quarantined as I was never told that.

I know it's Ich.. It's been confirmed and it is under control. I am new to the hobby only been doing it for 1 yr. I was never informed by my supplier about quarantine.. I have a new supplier all is well..

Steve's point is that four clowns will eventually become two, once two of them pair off and become bonded/mated. A mated pair will kill off the competition, or bully them until they refuse to eat.

As Deinonych said above with regard to multiple clownfish. Bt the reason I am questioning the ich diagnosis is that the timeline is more consistent with velvet or especially brook.

Well I assumed originally it was velvet for the same reason. When I took the fish in they said it was Ich.. I was unaware of this fact about clowns...

Your supplier should have known about the clownfish issue as it is a pretty basic issue. Why do you trust their diagnosis of ich when the facts belie that diagnosis?

My understanding is that velvet and Ich are invisibly different.. Ich is clearly white spots that appear after fish are stresses and is present in all aquariums.. Velvet is more a milky "velvet" like substance which is much different that Ich. Also I had listed my initial question to the dissuaded forum and several people verified it was Ich...regardless Ich and velvet are both treatable with Cooper and quarantine...im unclear as to what facts contradict the diagnosis. As you stated. I have verified this with many people and arrived at a conclusion I've accepted..

Now no reason to be grumpy.. Im correct both conditions are treated with Cooper... I appreciate your assistance and welcome all suggestions. Is there something else you would recommend
